That’s right, your local Credit Union was recently named #1 in financial education* not just in Kentucky, but nationally! The award, which was announced in late 2023 and formally celebrated in early 2024, recognizes Abound as a leader in youth financial education. And with the continued growth and expansion of our programs, along with the dedication of our team members, it’s easy to see why!

During the last school year alone, our financial education programs reached 11,467 local students and we’re nowhere near finished. In 2023, our Credit Union served as Title Sponsor and co-organizer of WKU’s Personal Finance Summer Camp, opened the Spartan Learning Center at South Warren High School, subsidized the cost of Ramsey Solutions for high school students in Taylor and Hardin Counties, and brought financial lessons to life by partnering with renowned children's book author Sam X Renick.

Our Team is Dedicated to Your Success

Abound loves to serve – our Members and our Communities! That’s why we’ve trained more than 120 of our team members to teach young people about personal finance directly in their classrooms. We also provide online resources for teachers and students to access and deliver customized financial education. When our local schools need us, we’re there!

For those who have witnessed our work firsthand, it’s easy to see how life-changing these efforts truly are. In fact, two of our partners said it best:

“Financial education is truly life altering for our students,” says Marcus Rodgers, Business Teacher and Cardinal Financial Center Sponsor, Taylor County High School. “We’re so thankful for partners like Abound, who go the extra mile to invest in financial education. The Credit Union has provided multiple guest speakers, financial support for the curriculum used in my Personal Finance course, and even an annual scholarship opportunity for our graduating seniors.”

“Our community and especially Hardin County Schools are so fortunate to have Abound Credit Union as one of our community partners,” says HCS Superintendent Teresa Morgan. As part of the credit union’s long-term commitment to HCS, School Spirit Debit Cards are now available to help parents and grandparents support the school district as they do their everyday shopping, with a percentage of each transaction being donated to their local school.
